Happenings...

Hey y'all!
Life has been super busy lately.  These last few days have gone by in a whirlwind.
We made a quick trip to New Mexico last week.  Spent some time with the in laws and then hubby and I headed to Ruidoso to spend a few days together before our home school year begins.

This is a nice shot of 3 bucks that were feeding in our neighbors yard early one morning.  I loved the feeling of being so close to nature.  Forget the theme parks with the long lines and overpriced drinks. This right here is my kind of vacation.

The day after we got home from our mini vacation we had a birthday party for our youngest daughter.  Thirteen!  I can't believe our youngest is turning thirteen. (She's the one in the middle.)
She wanted a mustache theme.  The girls had so much fun with all the props.
And we even made mustache brownies.

A friendly neighbor brought us plenty of yellow squash from his garden.
I was told it was real good fried with some potatoes so I tried it.
I first diced some bacon (turkey) and fried it.  Then I added the potatoes and let them cook a little while.  Next I added onions and the diced squash.  Seasoned with salt and Mrs. Dash.  I added some shredded cheese at the end.
Delicious!
