Baby Afghan Finished

Whew!  The baby blanket I had been working on the past two weeks is finally finished.
The baby shower was this past Saturday and I finished the blanket late Thursday night.  I worked on it every chance I got and late into the evenings.

It's a good size, crib size I suppose.
I did 2 rows of single crochet and a picot stitch for the edging.
It ended up being a lot bigger than I anticipated but I wanted an even distribution of the rows and colors.
I wasn't able to attend the baby shower but I sent the present with a friend.  When I went to church the next day I received lots of compliments on it.
The expecting mom is a member of our church and it was our church that hosted the shower.
This is her opening her gift.  She loved it and was very grateful.  She is expecting her second child and said nobody had ever done that for her.  Nobody had ever given her a hand made blanket not even for her first child.
It was very special to her which makes me very happy. I enjoyed making it, and more importantly, I enjoyed giving it to her.

Til next time,

  6. I'm glad she like it! it looks beautiful and I like the bobbles at the ends of the blanket. It is nice to have hand knitted blankets and she probably felt pretty special that you make it for her :)
