Feeling Thankful

Today I am thankful for the company of a sweet friend.
Just a casual visit, small chit chat, enjoyed a little snack together, and played  a little Candy Crush on my Ipad, and laughed about not being able to clear all the jelly.  I like those kind of friendly visits... The unexpected ones where someone just drops in to see how you're doing and stays to talk a while.  Nothing formal or proper, just two people enjoying each others company.  ♥♥♥
This is whats on my hook right now.
I'm working on a cup cozy.
I tried following a few patterns but for one reason or another they didn't work for me.
I'm doing my own thing on this one and just making it up as I go.
We'll see how it turns out.

After a very stressful last week, this week has been surprisingly relaxing and kind of slow.  We showed the house on Saturday but haven't sold it yet.  Not ready to put the house on the market yet though.  I'm waiting until Spring.  I think the house looks better in the Spring when the grass is green and the flower beds are growing and blooming.  We have a lot of flower beds in our front yard along the fence that make the house look so pretty. Even the trees bloom in the summer but right now everything is dead, dry and crusty and somehow I don't think that will make a good first impression to a potential buyer.

I admit that lately I haven't been very trusting and that my mind has been full of doubt concerning our move but I have to say that God has not only reminded me but shown me this week that he will take care of us.  He will provide for our needs.  I'm so thankful for his faithfulness and goodness and how He can so richly bless us in so many different ways.
I read this on Twitter this morning...

"Faith is starting out before you figure out how it's going to turn out."   Paul Chappell

Um hum...
I needed that.

  3. Moving is never easy. When we moved here, I said that was the last until they take me off. It is a big decision as you never know what you will run into. I am with you, a friend visit is nice or even a simple phone call. Just as we meet, you move away. Trust we can stay in touch through the blog.

  4. I love the little unexpected visits from friends too! I really like the color of the yarn you chose for the cup cozy and I can't wait to see it finished! I agree with you about selling a house in the spring too. Good luck with all of that. Have a nice weekend and happy crocheting.

  7. My Goodness! I see I have missed an awful lot that's going on in your life. I have scrolled through to catch up. Your house is beautiful and should sell pretty quick I would think. When God is calling you someplace else He will bring it all together. New Mexico! How exciting! Where are you now?
All of your recent crafting is fabulous! Love the little owls and I think your cozy is going to be perfect! Can't wait to see it all done up.
I will keep you in prayer during this time of great change.
    Love,
    Danette
