A Quick Gift...

These are a quick gift for a friend at church who is expecting a little girl.  I started a baby blanket for her but with all the craziness of the move I haven't had a chance to finish it.  Instead I whipped up these adorable baby bibs.
Pattern is from Ravelry and it's called Round Baby Bib.
I used Knit Picks cotton sport weight yarn.
Lilac Mist and Cream.
The yarn is so soft and a dream to work with.
The colors work well together too.
I will definitely order more of it.
Meanwhile...
in the garden this week...
Flowers are popping up all over the place.
We got a lot of rain the last few days and it turned everything green...
and made everything grow like crazy.
Moving day is Friday.
I've been taking lots of pictures of my yard.
I'm going to miss it.  I enjoy going outside and watering my plants.
The house we're moving into doesn't have any landscaping.  It doesn't even have any grass.  Only red New Mexico dirt and a few weeds scattered around.  I'll have to do a lot of planting as soon as I get there.
I'm thankful I get to enjoy these lovely blooms before we have to go...
even if it's just for a little while.
Wishing everybody a wonderful week,

Beca

  6. What sweet little bibs and a wonderful gift! I love the way they look. Good to know about that yarn. I'll have to try some of it. I've never tried cotton from KnitPicks, but I buy other yarn from them. How exciting that your move is coming up on Friday! I hope all goes smoothly for y'all and you're in your new home and loving it before you know it.

  9. The bibs are lovely, Beca. I'm sure they'll be loved. You can grow a lot here. When you get settled, look for Sunset Magazine's gardening books in the library. They've been very educational for us.
