Senior Prom

My my, this has been a busy month.
I started off the month planning our Valentine's Banquet at the church which took a lot of time and effort.  Satisfying and worthwhile, yes.  But definitely time consuming and exhausting.  I still have pictures of the banquet I want to share with you but they will have to wait for another day.  Today I have something else I want to share.

Last Saturday was prom night. I know February is an odd month to hold prom but that's the way it is in our sleepy little town.  Prom comes in February and Maypole comes in May.  Friday was the day of our Valentine's Banquet  and Saturday was the prom.  Just lots of things going on around here all the time.  That's how it is when your husband is a pastor and you have three growing kids.
 Life is full...
...all of the time.

Really, how did my son become a senior so fast?
It's amazing how fast it happens.  I remember taking him to pre-k.  Walking him into class.  Helping him put on his little backpack.  It just doesn't seem possible that he's getting ready to graduate.  It's sad and exciting all at the same time.

So this is Michael.
My son.
My middle child.
He's a great looking kid isn't he?
I'm his mom and I just don't see it any other way. :)

This is the busiest time of our lives but I also like to remind myself  from
time to time that it's also the best time of our lives.
So many memories being made.
So many things to capture and share.
I am enjoying the journey.
We are so blessed.

xx,
Beca

Love those happy, smiling faces in all their prom finery!
These are precious and fast moving years. Grab hold of them and enjoy every single second of the memories being made my friend... next thing you know their walking down wedding aisles... It goes from little backpacks to that in a New York second for us Mommies.

  4. Such a colorful group in their prom attire. My youngest will graduate high school in May and then go off into the world and I'm not really sure I'm ready for that but trying to remind myself it's the way it's supposed to be and I've already been through it once so it should be easier the second time. Right? Hmmm, not too sure about that. Time really is such a strange thing. Sometimes standing still and sometimes speeding by in the blink of an eye.
