She's my new bff.
She's quiet...
sweet...
and oh so very charming.
♥♥♥
From the first time I saw the kit available on the Rosy Little Things website I knew I wanted to make one for myself. I put it on my Christmas wish list and my sweet hubby bought it for me. I had to force myself to put away my crochet hook for a while so I could work on it. She comes in a kit and everything was included from the felt to the yarn. All I had to do was cut the pieces and stitch them together.
She was really easy to put together. There were a few tedious moments but over all it was very easy and quite enjoyable. I love the fact that she's mostly hand made. I had a little help from the sewing machine when I made the prairie dress she's wearing but other than that every little stitch is all hand sewn. It gives her a very primitive home spun look that I find very charming. And how 'bout those boots? They make me think of Laura Ingalls from Little House on the Prairie.
Also available on the Rosy Little Things website are other clothing accessories for Miss Maggie. I can't wait to get better at my knitting so I can knit her the little dress that's available. I knit so slow. I can't tell you how long it took me to knit that little capelet she's wearing. It felt like forever. I was tempted to rip it all out and redo it with a crochet hook. But alas, I'll never get better if I don't practice...and getting better is what I want.
I highly recommend this kit to anyone who loves the satisfaction of making something with their hands. After all, doesn't everyone need one of these cuties?
Happy first day of Spring!

Oh she is so darling! Would you believe that I have the kit to make and its been sitting untouched for months. I think I was maybe making this project out to be much harder than it is? Your Maggie is so sweet that I am going to get started on mine. I took a look over at the other clothes and so badly want to make the green hooded sweater.
