Hot off the hook...
I didn't think I'd ever get these done. The big move is two weeks away and I have a gazillion things to do. It took me a long time but I finally finished them.
I'm pleased with the way they turned out although I don't think I'll ever use them as potholders. They're much too pretty to use to take stuff out of the oven with. I'd hate to get them dirty.
I'll simply use them as a decoration.
Who can resist a little bit of vintage charm in their kitchen?
It was a glorious Spring day outside and I decided to photograph my blooms out in the garden. The Irises have been blooming all week. The flowers are pretty much spent but I did spot a few buds here and there.
I have two of these peony plants. I've lived in this house for four years and neither of them have ever bloomed. They've never even budded until this year.
The year we decide to move is the year it decides to bloom. I'm a little sad that I won't be here to enjoy these beautiful flowers year after year.
They really are show stoppers.
Look at all those cute little buds.
I just love Spring time.
After the long cold dead of winter, it's so nice to see things come to life
and all the color that comes with it.
Wishing all of you a wonderful weekend,
Beca

Your potholders are very pretty. Peonies are one of my favorite spring flower; they are show stoppers. I had one at my old house that was white with a touch of pink. Have a great day. Heather

Your potholders are beautiful, and like you I don't think that I could use them, but they will make beautiful decorations for your new home. You will have to plant a peony in your new house as soon as you move in so that you can enjoy one there. It is nice that you got to see these blooms before you moved though. I hope that the move goes really well and that you are very happy in your new home. xx
