Hand Warmers

I can't believe it's already November.
It doesn't feel like it should be November....
at least not to me anyway.
This year is flying by way too fast.

I  was able to squeeze in some crochet time.
I found a pattern for some fingerless gloves and decided to give it a go.
With the weather getting cooler these little accessories are nice to have.
I am a big fan of fingerless gloves.  They keep your hands warm while keeping your fingers free to do other things.   I received my first pair a few years back as a gift from a blogging friend.  You can view those here.  Every time I wear them I get several complements on them.  So when I came upon this pattern I knew I needed to try them.
You can find the pattern here.  It was fairly easy to follow however, I did alter it a little bit to customize it to fit my hand better. I added some extra stitches to make the thumb hole a little bit bigger and I decreased heavily towards the top to give it a more fitted look.
I've had this yarn for a while.  It's Knit Picks Wool of the Andes sport weight yarn in Cobblestone Heather.  Their yarn comes in small 50 gram balls and I only had one.  It was the perfect amount for this project though and I still had a little bit left over.
I can envision more of these in different colors lining my drawers.
Simple yet practical and oh so enjoyable.

It was Senior night Friday at our son's football game.
This is me and my hubby standing with our son #12.
It was the last home game of the regular season.  It's hard to believe how that is possible.  It seems like football season just started.  How can it be ending?  They went undefeated the regular season and they go into the playoffs as the number one seed.  It's been a good season for them.  We will take it week by week and hopefully they can go all the way to the finals.
 Wouldn't that be exciting?
