Take time everyday to do those things which make your soul happy...
My happy place is my sewing room. Most days I don't get very much time to go in there. Unfortunately running a full house doesn't allow for much play time.
Oh how I wish there were more hours in the day so I could squeeze in more time for this and that. Wouldn't it be nice if we could accomplish everything we wanted to do during the day?
I have a few moments here and there.
Moments when I rush into my sewing room and mostly play around with things.
Not really enough time to accomplish anything but just small moments
to get a few of my things out and fiddle with them.
I sort them.
I fold them.
I organize them.
I pile them in neat little stacks and take photos of them.
Whatever it is I decide to do in my sewing room, it doesn't ever feel like work.
I tell everybody I'm tidying up but it feels more like playtime.
Which is why I so enjoy spending time in there.
Some vintage pillowcases for your viewing pleasure.

It's been raining off and on the last couple of days.
It's starting to feel like Fall. It makes me want to make a big pot of soup.
We attended the first home football game tonight only to get rained out after the first four minutes.
We were hoping it would stay dry long enough to enjoy the game but it started raining literally as soon as we sat down. We'll have to try it again next Friday.

Hi Becca! I found you through Rose Petal Tea. Your folded fabric looks gorgeous and is very photo worthy!
ReplyDeleteGod be with you!
I know just what you mean, how nice it would be to spend as much time as we could crafting without life getting in the way. Your fabric is really pretty, I have just as much fun playing with balls of yarn. Have a great weekend. :)
ReplyDeleteI know the feeling about not getting enough time in the sewing room.....but you
ReplyDeletemay like to join me in what I'm doing. I'm sitting here with the wish that a Fairy
Godmother is going to appear at my place!! lol.....I am strong though I will wait for
her.....I've been waiting for years, but I still think it might happen. Enjoy whatever
time you get in there, it is better than none, or worse still....not doing any sewing at

ReplyDeleteAll work and no play leads to a very boring daily life! I too get great pleasure when I go into my craft room and see all of "stuff" that has so much meaning to me! It brings a sense of joy and centers me...funny huh?!
