On the Mend...

Well... this past week has been a doozy.
I caught a cold last week that turned into bronchitis.  I don't know why but it seems like every time I get a cold it develops into bronchitis.  I can't just shake off a cold anymore.  This is the third time I've had bronchitis in the span of a year.  Doctor said maybe allergies play a role in it.  So now I'm taking antibiotics and allergy medicine.  I am starting to feel a little better now but I still keep the box of tissues near me at all times.
A friend from church heard I was sick and stopped by a few days ago to bring me some flowers she picked up at the local supermarket.  Such a sweet gesture.  I feel so special.
I love the yellow and orange tone of the flowers.  It just screams Fall.  That's a good thing.  I'm not quite ready for the Christmas look yet.

I was looking for something to crochet and  keep my hands busy on and I ended up buying this pattern off  Etsy.  I loved how it looked in the picture but now that I'm making it I don't like it as much.  Maybe it's my yarn choice.  I'm using what I already had on hand.  It's just not taking shape the way I hoped.  Looks a little on the small side.

Should I frog it or should I finish it?
That's what I'm contemplating.
hmmm....
decisions, decisions...

Hope you all are having a wonderful week.

  1. Oh Beca, I do hope that you feel better soon and sorry to hear that you are sick.
Sorry to hear about the other troubles too and at least no one was hurt. I like you crocheting and maybe you should continue with it when you are feeling better.
Take care and I do hope you have a nice Thanksgiving.

  4. Sorry to hear about your son's injury, and that you yourself is not feeling well with bronchitis. Wish you both a speedy recovery.
That cowl pattern from Etsy looks gorgeous. But I've had similar experiences when I make something and it just not turning out the way I want it. I'd say if you don't like it, don't force it.
