Happy day of love everyone!
♥
Today the family and I are going to New Mexico to my father in law's church to take part in a Valentine's banquet. My husband will be the guest speaker. It should be fun. We attended one of their Valentine's banquet a couple of years ago and we had a really nice time. I've been told a barbecue restaurant is catering the event so I'm sure we'll have some delicious food and I have a hunch there will also be a lot of sweet treats for dessert.

As I was picking out my outfit I thought it would be nice to make myself a brooch for my jacket. I whipped up a simple little crochet flower and glued on a vintage clip on earring for the center.
This will be my kind of sort of Valentine's corsage....
I will be taking my mil one of these miniature rose plants.
A little crochet heart sits pretty among the blooms.
I used a wooden skewer to keep them in place.
Pattern for the heart is here.
I feel so very blessed to have special people in my life who make me very happy.
I hope that we all take the time today to spread lots of
love, cheer, joy, and happiness...
and I hope that you are, in return, blessed as well!
