Look What I Found...

 Hello friends
Happy Friday to you!

I want to share with you this fabulous little vintage gate that found it's way to me last week.
I was out driving through town on my way to buy water when I passed a house that was having a yard sale. It was about noon but there were still a few cars there.  My youngest daughter was with me and I said maybe we would stop there on our way back home.  I made a couple of stops at different stores before heading back home.  To my surprise the yard sale was still going strong when we drove through there again so I pulled over and stopped.

My heart skipped a beat when I spotted this gate.  I've been wanting one for so long.  I couldn't believe it was still there and nobody had snatched it up already.  I happily paid the lady the five dollars for it and loaded it into my mini van..  I couldn't wait to get it home and play with it.  I've thought and thought about what to do with it and where to put it.  It found a place here in the corner of my front yard.  I decorated it a little bit and it looks right at home.
This bunting came from my sewing room.  I love the way it looks on the gate don't you?

The little ceramic cat was on my front porch.  My mom gave it to me years ago.
The bunting dancing with the breeze.
Makes me think of the clothes lines from long ago.
Vintage and handmade...
what could be better?
Love ♥  Love ♥  Love it! ♥
My new favorite toy.

So what do you think?
What would you do with a gate like this one?

  5. I agree a support for climbing plants, such as sweet peas, would be a good idea.

  15. Hello Beca, first of all; thank you for visiting my blog and for following me . . . that visit brought me here and you have a charming blog. I am now following you, too and very delighted to meet you. I love your little garden gate, but then I have one just like it. It was a gift from my neighbor last year. She was cleaning her yard and decided she didn't want it anymore. I love it! The bunting you adding is adorable. Like I said, happy to meet you. Now, on to look at some of your past posts.
    Have a lovely day.
    Connie :)

  19. Hello Beca, we are happy to inform you that we featured this post at Monday's Cooking and Crafting with J & J.
We hope to see you there again. Enjoy the week.

  20. So pretty and I love the bunting - it's very cute :) Here in the IK we still peg our washing out on the line to dry, there is nothing quite like the smell of clothes that have dried in the fresh air:)

Your thoughts and comments are appreciated. I take time to read each and every one and will do my best to return the visit.
