Favorite Holiday Ever ♥

Hello there blogging friends!

I hope everyone is enjoying their Summer break.  Yesterday was my favorite holiday ever.  I look forward to July the fourth every year.  It is a fun laid back casual holiday and it happens to be my favorite time of the year.

Our son drove in from Texas to spend the weekend with us.  We mostly spent the day at home doing what everyone else does on these kind of days.  We ate the traditional American meal of grilled hamburgers, corn on the cob, chips, and watermelon, sipped on some good 'ol iced tea, and went for a short drive around town.  It was a nice relaxing day.  Hubby and I skipped the fireworks this year and opted to stay home and catch a movie on tv.   Raiders of the Lost Ark.  Can you believe it's been 38 years since that movie came out?  Crazy, crazy...

I hope you all had a nice day as well.  Wishing a lovely weekend to you all.
God bless!

  5. Love your pictures! Lots of booming and sizzling? in my neck of the woods as the neighbors set off their back yard fireworks. I must say we were glad when it was over, very hard on the pets and critters. Your day though sounds lovely!

  6. We too had a quiet 4th of July due to my husband having to work on Friday. We all went out for a late lunch/early dinner and he had the day off from grilling. We watched the fireworks on TV too. It so nice to hear that you had a nice day and having a fun summer.
