Provision...

Yes to sharing!
  Sharing is caring.
Wise words from a two year old at our church.

I couldn't help but smile when I saw my hubby walk through the front door carrying two heavy grocery sacks.  He was coming home from the church and hauled back the food I asked him to bring.

Only a few hours earlier I received a phone call from my m-i-l saying one of the church ladies had given her beans and carrots and asked me if I wanted some.  I said sure.

I never turn down food.

She said she would divide it up and leave our share at the church.

I was standing at the table going through the bags when I remembered the prayer I said earlier that day.  It's a request I make often when I pray for our family.   I said Lord please bless us financially. It's not necessarily a selfish prayer.  The Lord knows our finances and our living situation and from time to time I'll ask Him if He sees fit to send a little something our way.

As I stood there I imagined God looking down from above, winking at me.  God doesn't always give us what we want, but he always gives us what we need.  Sure, it's not a million dollars.  A million dollars would have been totally ok with me, but this is nice too.

It's nourishment,

it's generosity from a friend,

and it will save a little on the grocery bill if ever so slightly.

Yes to free!
Free is always good.

Thank you Lord for your provision.
This family of five is truly thankful.

  10. It's always nice to get those unexpected blessings! I know that whenever we thought we wouldn't make it through another week when we were raising the family, somehow prayers were always answered. Sending hugs xo K
